The Adventure Begins

Sometimes all you need is the perspective of an 8 year old to knock some sense into your priorities. I could write in great details the back and forth on deciding if moving to the store was a good idea but in the end, the building gave us hope for a slower pace of life.

It is 120 years old so it has its fair share of aches and pains but so do we all. It is a labor of love and we are very excited at the prospect of carrying on the tradition of the 8 store owners before us.

We hope you follow along the adventure of getting it ready to opening day and everything in between. Here we will share history of Lavoy, recipes, crafts, events and other fun things to do in the area.

Moving here means our work lives inside a story bigger than ourselves. It means every product we put on the shelf isn’t just a transaction, it’s a continuation of Lavoy’s legacy. And that’s the kind of life we were looking for; to be apart of something bigger than the everyday grind.
